Apple tracking stolen iPhones looted from stores in the USA

Apple has started tracking iPhones that have been stolen from its retail stores during the recent protests in the USA. People have started posting images of the iPhone on Twitter that have apparently stolen from the USA stores.

Apple is sending a clear message to people who have stolen iPhones from its stores that “You are being tracked.”

Images of Apple’s warning message started to pop up on sites such as Twitter and Reddit earlier this week during global protests following the death of George Floyd.

Apple stores, which was started reopening across the United States after months of closures due to the global pandemic, COVID-19, reported vandalism and theft at several locations, including in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

“Please return to Apple Walnut Street,” read the message of an iPhone stolen from an Apple store in Philadelphia, according to social media posts. “This device has been disabled and is being tracked. Local authorities will be alerted.
