WhatsApp is one of the most popular and widely used chatting application at the current time for the aim of communication. because to its cool and easy to use user interface, WhatsApp gained lots of popularity in a very short span of time and now, a large mass depends on the app.
Some days before, WhatsApp reported the suspension of its service for old mobiles phones before the end of 2016.
In a technology upgrade, WhatsApp planned to phase out compatibility with older smartphones as they wishing to eyes on the mobile platforms that big majority of people use.
They said that ” As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms:”
BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10
Nokia Symbian S60
Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
Windows Phone 7
iPhone 3GS/iOS 6
UPDATE: They are extending support for BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60 until June 30, 2017.
As per the list, the Android mobile users need not worry as the app will be supported by most of the Android mobile phones.
Those who are using iPhones running on iOS 6 or older versions will not be able to use the services of the app anymore.
