Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
Poised to be one of the biggest phones of 2017, Samsung today launched Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus with a tagline “Unbox your phone”, in an event in New York.
The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are available with 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch screens respectively. Both sport an infinity display using Corning Gorilla Glass, and a bezel-less design that provides a wider viewing area.
Both smartphones have 8MP front camera with F1.7 smart autofocus and a dual Pixel 12MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization. Autofocus Front Camera quickly detects your face to take perfect selfies.
The Galaxy S8 features Octa-core 2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad, 64 bit processor, the Galaxy S8 Plus sports Octa-core 2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad, 64 bit processor. Both models have 4GB RAM and 64GB memory, which is also expandable via MicroSD up to 256GB.
Android Nougat and splash proof phone
Both smartphones run Android 7.0 (Nougat) and are splash proof. They are 1.5 meters water resistant up to 1.5 meters. Other on-board sensor tech includes an iris sensor, pressure sensor, heart rate, proximity and fingerprint for biometric authentication. Also, a new Iris Scanner and facial recognition make you the password instead of you typing the password
Fast and wireless charging
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 3000mAh battery while S8 Plus has a 3500mAh battery. The smartphones support fast charging on wired and wireless. The wireless charging is compatible with WPC and PMA.
